Seattle’s Child – popular local magazine, lots of resources and events
Parentmap – another local magazine, lots of resources and events
Mini gyms – Most of Seattle’s community centers have playtimes and areas available for the under 5 set. Most are $3 or less for admission. Several of the youth and family services also have free playrooms that are open during business hours
Vios Cafe – Located in Capital Hill Seattle, it means ‘life’ in Greek. This casual Greek restaurant has a play area for your little one and is definitely baby-friendly. It was opened after the owner lost his wife to PPMD. It is a devastatingly sad story but the restaurant is a beautiful tribute to love and life.
Mosiac Coffee House – This Wallingford coffee house has a large separate playroom. It is located in a church basement and is pay-what-you-think-you-should for all food and drinks. Wifi equipped and proceeds go to the charity of the month. PEPS and other parenting groups often frequent this place.
